Most Seahawks fans knew that it would be touch to expect a victory going on the road to take on Genghis Tom and the Patriots, but our Seahawks got it done. The 31-24 win came down to the final seconds of the game, something that is now becoming a weekly tradition. The offensive line did well to protect Russell Wilson, who threw for nearly 350 yards. By all accounts Wilson showed that he could outduel Brady, but there was one stat that really separated these two quarterbacks.

A ton of credit for the win goes to the defense, a group that once again was able to keep the opposing team out of the end zone with another goal line stand. Coach Carroll helped make it a bit more interesting by going for two late in the game, and the guys talk about how Carroll was taking an opportunity to close out the Patriots and would have made the end of the game a lot less stressful. The guys revisit the discussion about Kam Chancellor from last show, because Kam came out and proved the kind of impact that he can have on this defense as he had several key plays that helped lead the team to victory.

Jen Briney of Congressional Dish, and a fan of the Patriots, joins the show this week to talk about what it was like watching the game in a mixed Seahawks/Patriots household. Because she's a fan of a team that gets a lot of sports hate, we ask her for advice on how Seahawks fans should cope with a  growing amount of NFL fans who dislike our Seattle team as well. We get into a bit of a political chat and also talk media. Even though she doesn't describe herself as a journalist, she does do actual journalism in how she approaches her research and reporting for her show.

As we welcome new members of the flock, we learn that using fire can be an effective tool for disposing of unwanted Patriots propaganda. A thank you to our overseas listeners who came through with some reviews of the show this past week, and Tim emails to talk about Jimmy Graham works as a replacement in terms of a role Marshawn Lynch filled in seasons past. Do Better nods go to Pro Football Focus and someone who was intimately involved with Von Miller. A sports writer redeems himself from things he said a few weeks back and Russell Wilson earns another week in the Better At Life segment.
