An annual tradition for the show kicks off this week as we bring on fellow podcasters from rival NFC West teams in the month of July. This year we kick things off with the team that finished at the bottom of the division, but a team that may have the most intriguing offseason. Bo Brack of the Locked on Cardinals podcast joins the show to talk about a team that had made a lot of moves this offseason.
Not only have they made moves in free agency, but they had the first overall draft pick with Kyler Murray. With 2018 Seahawks backup quarterback Brett Hundley as the only other QB seemingly providing competition at the spot in Arizona this year, it looks as though Murray is a lock to be the Week 1 starter. Brandan and Bo talk about any concerns about making sure Murray has a more veteran presence to try and overcome to ensure he really earns that starting spot.
With Patrick Peterson suspended for the first six games of the season, including the first matchup with the Seahawks in week 4, it looks as though former Huskies corner Byron Murphy could be lining up as a starter. Bo explains why the schedule lines up favorably for the second round pick to ease his way into the starting role.
After breaking down each position, the guys gets into what really matters, ranking the most handsome coaches in the NFC West. Kingsbury joins a division with Carroll, Shanahan and McVay, which clearly makes the West a lock for the best looking group of head coaches in the league. We also make Bo predict the finishing order for each of the teams in the NFC West.
Lastly, we recognize former Seahawks owner Ken Behring who passed away this week at the age of 91. After he sold the team to Paul Allen, Behring went on to be involved with some philanthropic endeavors that earn him Better at Life honors for this week.
