The Seahawks lose their first road game of the season, 9-3 in Los Angeles, and at this point should we really be surprised that it came at the hands of a Rams team that continues to find a way to beat Seattle even after moving into the same time zone? Though we knew going into this game it was going to be a tough matchup for this Seahawks offensive line, there are a couple players that stand out in a bad way and one player that is now standing above the rest. Defensively, this team couldn't be playing much better, but they couldn't seem to get a stop when the Rams were deep in their own territory and that made field position a key part of the game.
With San Francisco next up on the schedule, the guys wonder which 49ers defense shows up this week in Seattle. Will it be the one that shut down Todd Gurley and shut out the Rams in their home opener, or the one that allowed 176 rushing yards and more than 500 yards total against the Carolina Panthers. For the defense to continue dominating the opposition, the guys look for Deshawn Shead to bounce back against San Francisco and their group of mediocre receivers.
In the final segment of the show, the guys announce the winners of the pick'em leagues from the last two weeks and talk about how our international listeners can help earn the show an award. Do better nods go out to the Rams and Mrs. Craven, the mother of an NFL player. A long snapper for the Eagles and Marshawn Lynch is going Beast Mode in retirement as both earn nominations for this week's better at life segment.
