The Seattle Seahawks earned a playoff spot and the Rams were beaten by a previously winless team on the same weekend. Was a 20-15 victory to lock a playoff berth a better feeling than seeing a rival lose in that way? Up 20-3 against the Football Team, it looked like there was potential for a second straight dominant win. Instead, it came down to a final drive by Washington that could have given them a late lead over Seattle. Where did things start to turn? We take a look at the four offensive drives and the way the team played defensively in the fourth quarter.
This Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams looks different than the matchup earlier in the season. Shaquille Griffin has returned from injury, the pass rush has shown consistency since the previous matchup, and Alex Collins won't be finishing the game as the leading rusher. But the main thing we want to see is a revenge game from DK Metcalf. A response from him would prove that the previous game against the Rams defense was a fluke, and would help to put him ahead of Steve Largent in the record books. We also discuss the thing the Jets did successfully against the Rams defense and how it's a strategy Russell Wilson can't be expected to take advantage of.
In the second half of the show we talk about some of the latest Seahawks transactions. Tight end Greg Olsen could return from injury this week. Despite Adam's earlier frustrations with the team, he struggles to place other teams ahead of Seattle in the power rankings. Do Better call outs go to the NFL for continuing to throw road blocks at Josh Gordon's return to the NFL as well as the Pro Bowl selection committee for a pair of Seahawks snubs. Better at Life honors go to SETI for a monumental discovery and to the seven Seahawks selected to the Pro Bowl.
